Beggar — the online card game by Globevik Software
This policy explains what information the Beggar mobile game (“Beggar”, “the app”) collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what control you have over it. It applies to the Android and iOS apps and to the game servers that run at beggar.globevik.com.
Beggar is operated by Globevik Software (“we”, “us”). If anything here is unclear, or you want to exercise any of the rights described in section 12, email us at [email protected].
By installing or using the app you agree to this policy and to our in-app Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
The short version, in plain language:
The sections below are the full detail, and they are what governs — this summary is only a guide.
When you first open Beggar, the app creates a player account using anonymous device authentication through Google Firebase Authentication. At that point we hold an internal player id and a Firebase user id, and nothing that identifies you personally.
You may optionally link a real account using Sign in with Google, Sign in with Apple or Facebook Login. Linking is what lets your progress follow you to another device. If you link an account, we store:
We never receive or store your password for any of these providers. If you use Sign in with Apple’s private relay address, we only ever see the relay address.
To run matches, rewards and progression, our servers record:
Coins, gems and power cards are virtual items with no real-world monetary value. They cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged outside the game.
Beggar includes friends, invites and leaderboards. Using them means:
Anything you make visible to other players — your display name, level and leaderboard position — is visible to them for as long as your account exists. Please do not use a display name you would not want other players to see.
The app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to send push notifications about friend requests, match results, rewards and events. For this we store a device push token and the platform it belongs to, plus the notifications we have sent you.
You can turn push notifications and marketing notifications off separately in the app, and you can also revoke notification permission in your device settings. Doing so does not affect your ability to play.
Beggar offers optional in-game voice chat. It uses WebRTC, which means audio travels directly between the players in your match wherever the network allows. Where a direct connection is not possible, audio is passed through a TURN relay server, which forwards the encrypted stream without inspecting it.
Our servers only exchange the connection details needed to set up a call. We do not record, store, transcribe or listen to voice chat.
The app requests microphone permission only when you use voice chat, and you can withdraw that permission at any time in your device settings.
Beggar offers optional in-app purchases. All payments are processed by the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. We never see or store your card number, bank details or billing address.
So that we can grant what you bought and detect fraudulent or duplicate receipts, we store a purchase record containing the product identifier, the platform, the purchase amount, the store transaction identifier, the status of the purchase and the store receipt used to verify it.
The app may show optional rewarded ads — you choose to watch one in exchange for bonus coins. Ads are served by Google AdMob.
Google’s use of advertising data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
We use Google Firebase services to understand how the game is used and to fix problems:
As stated in our Terms & Conditions, this anonymous gameplay analytics collection is part of how the game operates and cannot be turned off from within the app. It is not used to build an advertising profile of you.
Some information never leaves your phone. The app stores local preferences and settings — such as sound options, tutorial progress, your saved hand order and cached session details — using your device’s standard app storage. If you save or share a match screenshot, that image is written to your device’s files or photo gallery at your request. Uninstalling the app removes this local data.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share only what is needed to run the game, with the following categories of service provider:
| Provider | Purpose | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase | Authentication, push notifications, analytics, crash reporting, remote config | Account identifiers, device push token, usage and crash data |
| Google Play / Apple App Store | Processing and verifying in-app purchases | Purchase and receipt data |
| Google AdMob | Serving rewarded ads | Advertising identifier and ad-request data |
| Google / Apple / Meta sign-in | Account sign-in, only if you choose that provider | The sign-in request; they return your name and email to us |
| Our hosting provider | Running the game servers and database | All account and gameplay data described above |
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to investigate cheating, fraud, abuse or a threat to the safety of our players or our service.
You can ask us to:
To make any of these requests, email [email protected] from the address linked to your account, or — if you play as a guest — include your in-game player id or friend code so we can identify the right account. We will respond within 30 days.
Deleting your account permanently removes your player profile and the data linked to it, including your progression, virtual currency and items, friendships, notifications and device tokens. This cannot be undone, and any coins, gems or power cards on the account are lost without refund. We may retain a minimal record of purchases where tax or accounting law requires it, and we may retain the information needed to keep a ban in force.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
All traffic between the app and our servers runs over encrypted HTTPS and WebSocket connections. Requests to our servers are authenticated with Firebase ID tokens, and access to the production database and admin console is restricted to authorised administrators. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.
You are responsible for keeping your own account secure — keep your sign-in credentials confidential, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
Beggar is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. You must be at least 13 years old to play, and if you are under 18 you need the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete the account.
Beggar is played worldwide, and our servers and service providers may process your information in countries other than the one you live in, including countries whose data protection laws differ from your own. Wherever your information is processed, it remains subject to this policy.
We may update this policy as the game changes. The “Last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app — for example through an in-app notification — before or when it takes effect. Continuing to use Beggar after a change means you accept the updated policy.
Questions, requests or complaints about privacy, or about this policy, can be sent to [email protected]. Please write “Privacy” in the subject line so it reaches the right person quickly.
